WiFi QR Bot

WiFi QR Bot does exactly one thing: it turns a network SSID and password into a QR code that any modern phone camera can scan to join the network directly, with no typing required. It is aimed squarely at the everyday annoyance of reciting a long, mixed-case Wi-Fi password to every visitor, or writing it on a sticky note taped to the router — print or display the generated code instead and let people connect themselves.

The project is open source, and its documentation makes a specific privacy claim worth noting: no Wi-Fi data is stored on the bot side once the code is generated, so there is no server-side list of network credentials sitting around afterward. That is a meaningfully different privacy posture than a general-purpose QR generator being repurposed for the same task.

It does not do anything beyond this single use case — no text or URL codes, no scanning, no styling — but for the specific job of sharing Wi-Fi access, that narrowness is the point rather than a limitation.
