A test team of three ran a two-week project through each bot: twenty tasks with assignees and deadlines, status changes, comments and one reassignment. We measured the taps needed to create and close a task in a group chat, checked reminders before deadlines, looked for a list of tasks per person and an overview per project, and tested what happens when a member leaves the chat. Free limits on users and tasks were recorded.
iTasks, UTasks and Patrick keep tasks inside Telegram: the group chat is the workspace, and a Mini App or commands give the overview. That is enough for a team of two to ten with a simple flow. Worksection's bot is a bridge to a full project platform, free for up to five people and paid beyond that: notifications and quick actions in the chat, everything else on the web. Teams that already pay for Jira, Asana or Worksection should look for the bridge first.
The best flow is one message: mention a colleague, write the task, set a date, done. Test that reminders reach the assignee rather than the whole group, that a person can list their own open tasks and that closing a task notifies whoever created it. Bots that require every member to open a private chat first stall on the one person who never does.
Free tiers cap users, projects or active tasks. Check what happens at the cap: some bots stop creating tasks silently. Export matters too, because a team's task history is worth keeping when you move to a bigger tool; a bot that exports the whole workspace, as iTasks does for its owners, saves that migration.
