Music bots let you listen, share and discover inside Telegram: a YouTube clip dropped into a chat, a podcast episode as an audio message, a radio station or a classical piece on request. Downloading tracks is a separate rating; these bots are about listening and sharing.

We searched for the same five items in every bot, a popular track, an obscure one, a podcast by name, a radio station and a composer, and checked what came back and how fast. We tested whether audio plays inline, whether the bot works in group chats and inline mode, whether it needs an account on an external service and how much advertising it shows.
Inline bots such as @vid are for sharing: type the bot's name and a phrase in any chat and pick a result; the video plays in Telegram's player. Listening bots keep the content in your chat with the bot: Yourcast and Podcastly deliver podcast episodes, Radio Bot streams stations, Classical Music sends full pieces. LastFM Robot is different again: it shares what you are listening to elsewhere as a card.
A podcast bot replaces a podcast app if you listen to a handful of shows: episodes arrive as audio messages with Telegram's speed control and background playback. Subscribe by show name or RSS link; new episodes come as notifications. Long episodes are limited by Telegram's file size, which for most shows is not a problem.
Bots that play YouTube, radio or public catalogs stay within the rules; bots that hand out copyrighted tracks as files come and go, and are listed in the music downloaders rating with that caveat. Official bots and those built on public APIs, like Last.fm's, are the ones that keep working year after year.
Yes, Yourcast Bot and Podcastly deliver episodes as audio messages with Telegram's speed control and background playback.
Type @vid and a search phrase in any chat, pick a result, and the YouTube video is sent with a preview that plays in Telegram.

No, they play and share; for downloads see the music downloaders rating.
