Best Telegram bots for Government services & official bots

Official bots from ministries, city departments and public agencies: check a debt, submit meter readings, ask about transport, get a consultation on which office to visit. Every bot in this rating is confirmed as run by the agency itself; look-alike bots that ask for money or documents are the main risk in this category.

The best Telegram bot for government services is Помощник Александра (@transport_mos_bot): the official AI assistant of Moscow's transport department answers questions about the metro, buses, fares, taxis and car sharing and has handled over 20 million of them. ФССП России (@Fssp_gov_bot) is the official bailiff service bot for checking enforcement proceedings and travel restrictions, and Цифровые сервисы Москвы (@mos_services_bot) submits meter readings to the city without any other app.

How we chose

We confirmed each bot through a link from the agency's official website or verified channel, then ran the main scenario: a debt check by name and date of birth, meter readings for a test account, a transport question with a typo, an MFC consultation about a specific service. We measured how fast and how accurately the bot answered, whether it asks for more personal data than the service needs and whether it clearly states what it cannot do.

Government services & official bots

How to tell an official bot from a fake

Fakes copy names and avatars of public agencies and then ask for a card number, a passport scan or a "fee". A real government bot is linked from the agency's website or verified Telegram channel, never asks for payment inside the chat and usually has a verified badge. When in doubt, find the bot's link on the official site rather than through search inside Telegram.

What these bots can do

Information services work best: bailiff proceedings, tax debt, transport questions, office hours and required documents. Transactions are rarer: Moscow's bot accepts meter readings, some regional bots book appointments. Anything involving a signature or a payment still goes through the official portal or app, and a bot that claims otherwise is not official.

Regions and countries

Moscow and the Moscow region have the most complete set of bots; other Russian regions offer MFC consultants and single-purpose services. Kazakhstan's tax committee runs SalyqBot for debt checks by IIN or BIN. We add regional and national bots as they are verified; suggest one through the form if your agency has an official bot we have missed.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check if I have a travel ban because of debts?

In the official ФССП России bot: enter your name and date of birth and it shows enforcement proceedings and restrictions in real time.

Can I submit meter readings through Telegram?

In Moscow yes, through Цифровые сервисы Москвы; other regions mostly use their own portals.

Do government bots ask for payment?

Never inside the chat. A bot asking for a card number or a fee is a fake, even if it carries an agency's name.

Are there official bots for other countries?

Kazakhstan's tax committee runs SalyqBot; more are added as they are verified.
