What Анекдоты из России does
Humour bots mostly repost images scraped from somewhere. This one is attached to a source with a history: anekdot.ru has been collecting Russian jokes since the early days of the local internet, and the bot delivers from that archive either on a subscription or when you ask.
That distinction matters in a group. A subscription posts on a schedule, which a chat either enjoys or mutes within a week; an on-request bot stays silent until someone calls it, which is usually the version that survives.
How to start
- Open @AnekdotRuBot and press Start
- Ask for a joke, or turn on the subscription
- Add it to a group only if the chat agrees

Pros / Cons
- Attached to a real archive, not a scrape
- On-request mode keeps a group quiet
- Free
- Russian only
- The archive's humour is of its era and not always to modern taste

FAQ
Can I turn off the daily messages?
Yes - the bot offers both a subscription and an on-request mode, so you can keep it silent until called.
Is there an English version?
No, the source is a Russian-language archive and the jokes do not translate well.
