What Markdown Bot does
@bold is the smallest useful inline bot Telegram ships. Type @bold followed by a sentence and three previews appear: bold, italic and fixed-width. Tap one and the formatted text is sent. It is handy on phones where the formatting menu is hidden, and in clients that do not support markdown shortcuts.
There is nothing else to it: no fonts, no styles, no colors. For decorative Unicode fonts you need third-party bots; for reliable basic emphasis this is the one that never breaks.
