Send a photo of a dog and Dogbi replies with the breed it resembles and how close the match is. Also works on photos of people, for fun. Free and open source.
Dogbi does one thing: you send a photo, it replies with the dog breed it thinks it sees and an estimate of how close the match is. There are no menus and no dialogue to learn - the picture is the whole input, so the bot works the same whatever language you speak.
It is handy for a mixed-breed dog adopted from a shelter, a puppy whose seller was vague about its background, or a dog you met in the park and liked. Treat the answer as an estimate of resemblance, not a pedigree: a photo cannot tell a purebred from a lookalike, and a mix will get the closest single breed rather than a breakdown of its ancestry.
The bot also accepts photos of people and tells you which breed you resemble - the part most users end up sending to friends. Keep in mind that a portrait goes to a server run by a small project, so send pictures of your dog freely and think twice before sending faces of other people.
Dogbi is an open-source project published by Onix-Systems on GitHub, and its README links straight to the bot. Nothing in the README or on the bot's page mentions payment.

No. It estimates which breed the dog in the photo looks like. Only pedigree papers or a DNA test can confirm ancestry.
The project describes only photos of dogs and people, so do not expect a cat breed from it.
