Currency Converter 🪙

Currency Converter (@crcvbot) does one thing, inside whatever chat you are in. Its description says it works only in inline mode, so there is no conversation with the bot: you type @crcvbot, an amount, the currency you have and the one you want, for example @crcvbot 1000 DKK USD, and Telegram shows a pop-up with the result that you tap to send as a normal message. It works the same in private chats, groups and channels, without adding the bot anywhere.

The code is public on GitHub under the developer's account jasursadikov, with changes as recent as August 2026. It shows how the bot works: rates come from Coinbase's public exchange-rate endpoint with the US dollar as the base and are cached for an hour, and the latest update added about forty cryptocurrencies, such as BTC, ETH, USDT and SOL, alongside ordinary currencies. The README, written earlier, still says crypto is not supported; the code is the newer source.

Two things are worth knowing. Because rates are refreshed hourly from a single source, the figure is an estimate rather than a bank quote. And the bot records each user's username with a running count of requests in a small statistics database, which the code shows plainly. The bot only converts; it cannot send or receive money.
