Send a stop number or your location and this bot shows live arrivals of buses, trains and light rail anywhere in Israel, refreshing the message every few seconds. Free and open source, English interface.
Israel Bus Info Bot is a one-developer, open-source project that answers one question well: when is my bus coming? Send the stop number from the sign, or share your location and pick one of the nearby stops the bot marks on a map, and it replies with the lines arriving soon and their times.
The reply is not a snapshot. The message keeps updating every few seconds for up to 15 minutes, so you can leave the chat open at the stop and watch the countdown, then press Stop updating once the bus pulls in. Stops you use every day can be saved and opened again with /my_stops.
Coverage goes beyond buses. The map tells apart ordinary stops, central bus stations with many platforms, light rail stops in the Tel Aviv area and in Jerusalem, and railway stations, and the bot reports arrivals for all of them.
The interface is English, nothing is paid, the code has no ads, and the source is public on GitHub, so anyone can check what happens to a shared location. The trade-off is that it is a hobby project: when the transport data source is down, the bot says so and you wait.
