True Mafia

True Mafia

@TrueMafiaBot
FreeRUENMULTI

A free bot that hosts the classic social-deduction game Mafia in any group chat — assigns roles, runs night and day phases and announces the winner. Free, close to 855,000 monthly users.

Key features

  • Assigns secret roles and runs night/day phases automatically
  • Vote collection and eliminations via inline buttons
  • Works with groups of eight or more players
  • No real-money betting, purely a party game

True Mafia

True Mafia takes over the job of a human host for the party game Mafia (also known as Werewolf). Add it to a group chat, give it permission to manage messages, and it handles the rest: it privately assigns each player a secret role (mafia, detective, doctor, civilian and so on), runs the alternating night and day phases, collects votes through inline buttons, and announces eliminations and the eventual winning side without anyone needing to remember the rules.

Because everything runs through button taps rather than free-text messages, a game stays organized even with a full group of eight or more players, and the bot enforces turn order so no one accidentally reveals their role early. With close to 855,000 monthly users, it is one of the most-used game bots on this list, which is a reasonable proxy for "this actually works reliably" — a broken game host would not sustain that kind of traffic.

It only replaces the host, not the players: you still need enough real people in the chat to fill the roles, and a good game depends on players actually discussing and bluffing in the group rather than just tapping buttons. There is no real-money betting built in — it is a straightforward party game, not a gambling product.

How to start

  1. Add @TrueMafiaBot to a group chat with at least 5-6 players
  2. Grant it permission to manage messages
  3. Start a game and wait for roles to be assigned
  4. Follow the bot's prompts through night and day phases
