These Telegram bots give you chat access to GPT-4-class language models and other AI assistants right inside a chat window, for writing help, coding questions, research, and everyday Q&A.
We sent the same 5 prompts to every bot: a factual question, a short coding task, a creative-writing request, a request to summarize a long text, and a follow-up that only makes sense if the bot remembers the previous message. We measured reply time, checked whether the free tier had a daily message cap, and noted which model version actually answered.
Start with the model version, not the interface — a bot built on a GPT-4-class model handles multi-step reasoning and long context noticeably better than one still running GPT-3.5. Check whether the bot keeps message history (does it remember what you asked two messages ago?) and whether it can read images or documents you forward, since not every wrapper exposes those features even when the underlying model supports them.
Most GPT bots on Telegram are wrappers around a paid API, so free access is capped somehow: a daily message count (commonly 10–30 messages before a paywall or ad appears), an older model on the free tier, or a queue during peak hours. Read the bot's own /help or pinned message for the exact number rather than its marketing text — limits shift as API prices change.
Every message passes through the bot's own server before it reaches the underlying model, so treat a GPT bot like any third-party app: avoid sending passwords, medical details, or documents with personal data. A bot with no visible privacy policy and no way to clear your history is a bad sign, whatever the quality of its answers. On pricing, paid tiers usually remove the daily cap and unlock a GPT-4-class or larger-context model — if you rely on a bot daily for work, compare its monthly price against the official ChatGPT Plus subscription before paying for a wrapper around the same model.
Almost none are truly unlimited — most free tiers cap you at a set number of messages per day, after which you wait 24 hours or pay.
It runs inside Telegram without a separate app, but it depends on how its creator connected the underlying API — model version, limits, and uptime can all differ from the official service.
Technically yes, but messages pass through a third-party developer's server first, so avoid forwarding documents with personal data unless the bot has a clear privacy policy.
