Each bot was subscribed to the same five sources: a news site with RSS, a blog without a feed, a YouTube channel, an X account and a VK page. Over four days we counted delivered items, missed ones and duplicates, measured the delay after publication and checked how readable the messages are on a phone, with a title, an excerpt and a link. We noted free limits on the number of sources and whether the bot inserts advertising.
A site with an RSS feed is the easy case: every reader bot handles it, and delivery is reliable. Sites and social networks without feeds need scraping, which telefeedbot and Feed Reader do with varying success; expect occasional gaps when a network changes its layout. If a source has an official Telegram channel, subscribe to that instead, it is faster than any bot.
