Курсы валют (@cbr_bot) is a small Telegram bot that answers the everyday question "how much is that in rubles today": send /start, pick a currency from an inline keyboard, and the bot replies with the current rate and a short chart of recent movement. It also accepts plain amounts to convert.
Despite the username, this is an independent third-party bot, not a product of the Central Bank of Russia — it simply displays rates that track the official CBR reference values, which is the most common convention among Russian currency bots. There is no visible paywall, subscription, or account requirement, and the bot does not ask for a phone number.
It is a good fit if you want the headline CBR-style rate for rubles without opening a banking app or a browser tab, and you are comfortable that it is a community tool rather than a bank product. For multi-currency, non-ruble conversions or crypto, a broader converter is a better choice.
