A free maths trainer for West Africa's WAEC school exam: past WAEC questions by year or topic with step-by-step solutions, adaptive practice on weak topics, an AI tutor that reads photos of problems, and a points leaderboard.
WAEC mathematics rewards one habit above others: working through enough past questions. CheetahWAEC is a small independent project built on that idea, and its Telegram bot is where the practice happens. The project's channel lists what is inside: more than 2,500 real WAEC past questions from 1988 to 2024 with step-by-step solutions, practised by year or by topic with instant feedback; over 4,000 extra problems sorted by topic and difficulty; weak-topic detection that feeds you adaptive tests; and a per-topic mastery estimate, with 70% suggested as the level to reach before the exam.
Two features go beyond a question bank. An AI maths tutor answers questions, takes photos of problems and comments on your progress, and a photo of a past WAEC problem is matched against the database. Every problem solved without peeking at the solution earns points on a leaderboard, with prizes promised at milestones.
Be realistic about its size and state. The channel has a few dozen subscribers and has been silent since May 2025, one of its tips is to send /start if the bot stops responding, and the 2026 website has moved practice onto the web and no longer links the bot. The project calls its tools free and says it is not affiliated with WAEC. Make sure the bot answers before you build a revision plan around it.
