What CoinMarketCap Price Bot does
CoinMarketCap Price Bot (@CoinMarketCapPriceBot) is the bot that coinmarketcap.com and its Academy name as the official CoinMarketCap Telegram bot. It answers /p followed by a token symbol, for example /p eth, with the latest price, trade volume, market cap and circulating supply from CoinMarketCap's data. You can use it in a private chat or add it to a group as an administrator.
In groups it has a few admin tools. /set_contract sets a default token, so members get its price by sending plain /p; /disable_other_tokens limits the bot to that token and /enable_other_tokens lifts the limit; /enable_hourly_price_alert posts the default token's price every hour. That makes it a common fixture in project and trading communities.
It holds no funds and places no trades. The data is CoinMarketCap's aggregated view across exchanges, so a single exchange's price can differ slightly.
How to start
- Open @CoinMarketCapPriceBot and tap Start, or add it to a group as admin
- Send /p with a token symbol, for example /p eth
- In a group, set a default token with /set_contract
