An open-source VPN bot that sends you an OpenVPN or WireGuard configuration file after you buy an access pass in the chat. Its author archived the project in January 2026 and marked it feature-complete, so treat it as a small one-person service.
GuardianVPN is a small VPN service built entirely around a Telegram bot. You choose OpenVPN or WireGuard, pay for an access pass through Telegram's payment screen, and the bot sends a configuration file, with a QR code for phones, that you import into the official OpenVPN or WireGuard app. The bot's own texts promise no traffic, timestamp, DNS or IP logging, and the project filters ads and trackers on the server with Pi-hole.
The bot is open source under the MIT license, and the GitHub repository names @GuardianVPNBot as its live instance, which is what ties the bot to its author. The published code sells two passes, one week and one month, and the interface follows your Telegram language: English, Spanish, German, French or Russian.
The catch is maintenance. In January 2026 the author archived the repository and declared the project feature-complete: no new features, no outside contributions. The bot still answers, but the public code is built around a single self-hosted PiVPN server, multiple server locations only ever appeared as a future idea, and there is no company or website behind it, just a separate support account on Telegram. The no-logs promise cannot be checked independently. It suits someone who wants a cheap, simple configuration file and accepts that risk; for a service to rely on for months, a provider that is still maintained is the safer choice.
