The official bot of PolySwarm, a threat-detection marketplace: send it a file or a link and it returns a combined verdict from 30+ antivirus and specialist engines — or add it to a group to scan everything members post.
PolySwarm is a threat-detection company whose platform pools verdicts from many scanners at once: established antivirus vendors and smaller specialist engines compete to flag malicious files and URLs. The Scanbot is its front door in Telegram, and the company's own blog announced it in March 2020 and told readers to search for @PolySwarmBot — so authenticity is not in question here, unlike the many anonymous wrappers around public scanning APIs.
There are two ways to use it. In a private chat you send a suspicious file or link and get back the verdict pulled from PolySwarm's platform, which aggregates more than 30 sources. The more interesting mode is in a group: once added, it scans the files and links members share, warns the chat when something is flagged, and — if you give it admin rights — deletes the malicious post. PolySwarm says it first built the bot to protect its own community chats before opening it to everyone, and a company running hundreds of Telegram channels publicly vouched for it at launch.
Keep expectations realistic. The bot speaks English only, public news about it stops at the 2020 launch, and its profile shows fewer than 10,000 monthly users. As with any cloud scanner, whatever you send is uploaded and checked by third-party engines, so do not submit documents with private data.

Yes. PolySwarm's own blog announced the Scanbot in March 2020 and pointed readers to @PolySwarmBot.
Yes, if you make it an admin. Without admin rights it still scans shared content and warns members about threats.
Better not. Files are uploaded to PolySwarm's platform and checked by third-party engines, so keep anything with personal data off it.
