Transcriber Bot vs Perebot
Transcriber Bot (@transcriber_bot) is the one to open when you need the original words back, from a voice message or a photo. It has 39,744 monthly users, and its developers promise in writing that transcription stays free, though the profile lists no languages. Perebot (@perebot) answers a different question: what does this actually mean? It is a free translator for roughly 20+ languages with about 59,000 monthly users; it reads text on a photo and translates it, and drills new words in short quizzes, but its general-purpose engine is weak on idioms and technical text. Choose Perebot for a menu, a sign or a screenshot in a language you don't read.
