WAIT: What Anime Is This vs SauceNAO
If you have a screenshot or a GIF from an episode, WAIT: What Anime Is This (@WhatAnimeBot) is the better pick: it names the anime, the episode and the exact second the frame comes from, runs on trace.moe and needs no account. SauceNAO (@SauceNAOBot) searches a different kind of image — illustrations, manga pages and stickers — across dozens of indexed sites including Pixiv and Danbooru, and shows a similarity score for every match; SauceNAO caps how many searches one user gets a day. WhatAnimeBot compares video frames, so fan art falls outside its database. Choose @SauceNAOBot when the picture is a drawing, a manga panel or a sticker and you want the artist and the original source.
