Listvin Lexik

@ListvinLexikBot is the current vocabulary trainer from Denis Listvin's German school, replacing an earlier bot (DeutschEffekt Lexik) that the author retired in its favor. The idea is simple: instead of a generic word list, the bot organizes German vocabulary into 11 broad topics split into 33 narrower subtopics, so you can pick something concrete — say, food or travel — rather than grinding through an alphabetical deck.

Inside each topic the bot cycles through five exercise formats: looking words up in a built-in dictionary, matching translations, listening comprehension with audio, and one of the trickier parts of German for Russian speakers — practicing noun genders (der/die/das), among others. Rotating formats instead of a single flashcard type is meant to keep repetition from feeling mechanical and to test each word from more than one angle.

There's no separate app to install and no visible paywall: you start the bot, choose a topic, and the exercises begin. The topic structure is tied to Listvin's own German-teaching materials, so the vocabulary tends to match what a self-study learner working through his courses or textbooks would actually need, rather than a generic frequency list pulled from nowhere.

It's a narrow tool by design — it drills words and grammar-adjacent facts (gender, mainly), not full conversations or grammar explanations — so it works best alongside a course or textbook rather than as a standalone way to learn German from zero.
