Nihongo Go

@nihongo_go_bot delivers Japanese study material as a stream of Telegram messages instead of a separate app. After a roughly 30-second setup where you pick your JLPT level, the bot starts sending vocabulary cards (with readings and example sentences), kanji cards with furigana and definitions for N5 through N1, and grammar-pattern cards with examples — timed to arrive at intervals you can adjust, from hourly to once a day.

Two features stand out. A "Kana Speedrun" mode drills hiragana and katakana at speed, and complete beginners can pick a kana-first Beginner profile instead of a JLPT level. An "Explain by AI" button on any card gives a focused breakdown (the site says it runs on Groq) when the card alone doesn't make something click. Around them, the feed mixes in grammar study cards adapted from JLPT Sensei and a Top 200 Kanji set, short multiple-choice JLPT quizzes on demand, and — on the FULL tier — "Ask AI", where you reply to any card to keep a conversation going with an AI tutor.

Feedback is built into the review loop: marking a card "Again" or "Easy" adjusts how soon it resurfaces, the same principle behind spaced-repetition apps, just delivered as chat messages rather than a dedicated interface.

Starting is free and the site calls the bot free, but it also labels features by tier: Explain by AI is on all tiers, while the conversational Ask AI is marked FULL, and the site doesn't say what FULL costs or how to get it. Nihongo Go is the side project of a single developer (gbXBT), and the format is a stream of cards on your schedule rather than a course with lessons, so it works best as daily exposure next to a textbook.
