A vocabulary bot for people who already read English and want Spanish, French, Portuguese or German. You translate English sentences into the new language with spaced repetition, voice playback and an AI helper. It does not teach English itself.
Linguogram does not teach English: English is the language it starts from. The bot shows you an English sentence, you translate it in your head into Spanish, French, Portuguese or German, tap Show translation and tell the bot whether you knew it. Each new sentence brings in one new word and quietly reviews recent ones, and a spaced-repetition algorithm decides when a word is due again. The point is active vocabulary, the words you can produce, rather than words you merely recognise.
Two extras make it more than a flashcard deck. The bot can send voice messages that read sentences aloud in the language you are learning, which helps with pronunciation and listening. And you can ask questions mid-practice, such as the meaning of a word, a verb conjugation or the difference between two verbs, and an AI assistant answers with examples, using the context of your chat. The site also sells ebooks of parallel sentences.
The free plan covers the first 500 sentences and verbs of each course, roughly A1 vocabulary, plus 20 AI questions a day; coupon codes can raise the limit. A $5.99 monthly subscription, bought inside the bot, unlocks about 8,000 items per course, roughly B2, and 300 questions a day, and your progress is kept if you cancel. The site is signed by an individual developer and shows no dated updates after 2024. If you want to learn English itself, this is the wrong tool; Linguogram helps only if you already read English and want to add another language.
