The job seekers' bot of Afriwork, Ethiopia's largest Telegram job marketplace: vacancies posted in the @freelance_ethio channel open here, you fill in a short profile once and apply from your phone. English interface, 65,000+ monthly users; the jobs are mostly in Addis Ababa.
Afriwork, whose channel still carries its older name Freelance Ethiopia, runs its job market inside Telegram. Employers post vacancies through their own bot, the listings go out to the @freelance_ethio channel with more than 276,000 subscribers, and every post links to this bot, where candidates apply. Afriwork's site counts 300,000+ applicants and 15,000+ employers.
The first time you open the bot it asks for your name, age and location and helps you build a profile; after that, applying to a vacancy from the channel takes a few taps and no computer. The channel's posts on 14 September 2026 covered accountants, drivers, sales managers, HR officers and digital marketers, almost all on-site in Addis Ababa, with some remote roles.
The limit is the market: this is a tool for work in Ethiopia. For support Afriwork lists @afriworksupport and the short number 9423.
