Telegram's own recruiting bot: it lists open positions at Telegram and takes candidates' applications, and the careers page telegram.org/jobs sends applicants here. Verified; for engineering roles Telegram also points to the coding contests it runs in the @contest channel.
This is the bot Telegram uses to hire for itself. Its verified profile says it lists career opportunities at Telegram and accepts candidates' applications, and the official careers page, telegram.org/jobs, ends each role with the same instruction: contact @jobs_bot and fill in the required info.
When we checked on 15 September 2026, the careers page described roles such as content moderator, translator, C/C++ software engineer, site reliability engineer, junior accountant and assistant to the CEO, each with its own requirements and some with application deadlines. For engineers Telegram names contests as the fastest way to join the team and sends people to the @contest channel and to this bot for ongoing competitions.
It is a narrow tool: one employer, a handful of openings at a time. But if you want to work at Telegram, this is the front door, and a verified bot is the safest way to tell it from the fake recruiters who use the brand.

Telegram's careers page sends candidates to the verified @jobs_bot and lists the open roles. If the offer is not there and comes from a personal account, treat it as suspicious.
Telegram calls its coding contests the fastest and easiest way to join the team. New contests are announced in the @contest channel and in this bot.
