This is the GitHub half of Notifine, the open-source Rust project by developer Mehmet Hüseyin Kafadar that also runs a GitLab bot. The GitHub bot has worked since March 2023 and shares the project's public uptime page, which showed 100% for the last 90 days when we checked.

It works through a plain repository webhook, so the bot never gets access to your GitHub account. Send /start in a personal chat, a group or a forum topic, copy the URL on webhook.notifine.com from the reply and add it under the repository's Settings → Webhooks. According to the source code, Notifine handles pushes, pull requests, issues, comments, workflow runs, check runs, branch and tag creation and deletion, and wiki edits.

Branch filters work in the URL: ?branch=main keeps one branch, ?exclude_branch=dependabot/* drops noise, and wildcards are supported for push, pull request, workflow run and create or delete events. What it cannot do is act on GitHub: there is no replying, merging or rerunning from the chat. If you need that, GithubBot (@FallenAlertBot) does it at the cost of an OAuth login.
