What Is it UP? does
Is it UP? is a small Node.js bot by developer WBerredo, published on GitHub under the MIT licence; its Telegram bio links the repository. Send /verify with a domain, or just paste a URL, and it tells you whether the site answered. /track adds a URL to a watch list, /track_list shows it and /track_delete removes an entry.
The source code explains how tracking works. Every five minutes the bot requests each tracked URL and messages you only when the result differs from last time, so you hear about the site going down and about it coming back. The check is simple: any HTTP response counts as up, including a 500 error page, and only a failed connection counts as down.
The repository was last updated in 2018. The bot still resolves on Telegram, but there is no sign of maintenance, so treat it as a quick free check for a personal site rather than something to rely on for work.

FAQ
Will the bot notice if my site shows a 500 error?
No. In the published code any HTTP response counts as up; only a connection that fails entirely is reported as down.
Can I run my own copy of the bot?
