A Spanish-language contraction timer: tap when each contraction starts and ends, and the bot tracks duration and spacing and tells you when it may be time to go to the hospital.
Contracciones is a small Telegram bot with one job: counting contractions during labor. It was built by an independent developer in Spain and introduced on his blog in February 2026, with the idea that nerves make it easy to forget what the midwife said and that nobody should have to install a heavy app on the day.
You tell the bot when a contraction starts and when it ends, and it does the arithmetic: how long each one lasts and how far apart they are. It then looks at whether the pattern has become regular enough to head to the hospital. It also reminds you of warning signs that should not wait, such as unusually colored waters or bleeding, and lets you download a summary of every contraction to show the doctor on arrival. There is no sign-up and it costs nothing.
The limits are clear. The whole interface is in Spanish, it comes from one person rather than a medical organization, and its advice about when to leave follows general rules rather than your own birth plan. Treat it as a stopwatch with a memory, and follow whatever your midwife or doctor told you to do.
