The official Telegram chatbot of Brazil's Federal Revenue Service (Receita Federal) for CPF matters: update or regularise your registration, request a duplicate, check your status or missing tax returns, free of charge.
The CPF is the taxpayer number that every resident of Brazil needs for a bank account, a job, a phone contract or an online purchase, so a suspended CPF or outdated data quickly becomes a real problem. In August 2020 the Receita Federal opened a Telegram channel to handle the most common CPF requests remotely, and @ReceitaFederalOficialbot is that chatbot, announced on gov.br and covered by Brazilian press including Agência Brasil.
Through it you can request an update or change of registration data and CPF regularisation, a duplicate of the CPF document, information on your CPF number, a check of your registration status and a check for missing income tax returns. Unlike a pure FAQ bot, it takes requests: you send the information and documents it asks for, and the Receita analyses them rather than answering automatically.
The service is free, and the Receita warns that fake profiles impersonating it circulate on Telegram and WhatsApp; nobody legitimate charges for CPF regularisation. Check the exact username before you send any document. The limits are clear too: it covers CPF matters only, not filing your income tax return or other federal taxes, it works in Portuguese, and requests go through human review, so replies are not instant.

No. The service is free, and the Receita says anyone who asks for money to regularise a CPF is running a scam.
Use the exact username @ReceitaFederalOficialbot, the one announced in the Receita's news on gov.br, and ignore lookalike profiles on Telegram or WhatsApp.
No. The bot only checks whether a return is missing as part of the CPF status check; the return itself is filed through the Receita's own programs and portal.
